Our Dogs

I have been showing and training dogs for years. I started showing dogs when I was eight years old in a local dog 4-H club. I showed a Black Lab named Kettle for my first dog ever. She was a pet and a great dog. I also borrowed a good friends dog. She was an amazing dog that pushed me and made me learn. Her name was Poppy. She was a Vizsla and she was the true reason that made me grow in this sport.

As I progressed in my abilities I began showing in JR showmanship in AKC. I sold my pony and got my first AKC show dog when I was fifteen years old. She was a Landseer Newfoundland named Maggie. I loved her to death and she taught me a lot.

I won several Best Junior Handlers with her and also showed her in 4-H. I was able to win several top awards with her in both Showmanship and Obedience. Maggie also opened the doors to my first true mentors, Chip and Barbra Taylor of Swan Creek Weimaraner in Tacoma, WA.

I was approached at the Washington 4-H State competition and was asked by Barbra if I would be interested in a Weimaraner puppy. She had seen me show and had over heard me talking about wanting to get a more "Flashy" show dog. I was thrilled by the idea and jumped right in head first. I got my Weimaraner puppy at eight weeks old and absolutely loved him. Griffey taught me more then I could ever know about owning dogs. But, I also got wonderful people that went along with him and I learned even more from them. I was very fortunate to be apart of the litter that I got Griffey from. Chip and Barbra took me along with three other JR handlers around the country on some of the most memorable trips of my life. I finished Griffey's AKC championship, obedience CD and his Junior Hunter. He received his Versatility Certificate from the WCA.

When I meet my husband in High School he owned a German Shorthaired Pointer. He opened my eyes to bird hunting and to the true versatile ability of the German Shorthaired Pointer. A year after we were married we purchased our first German Shorthaired Pointer together from Maxine Moinier of Sidney, BC. Once again I was handed an incredible mentor along with a wonderful dog.

I have learned over the years that being a breeder is not only about producing truly versatile dogs but about mentoring the families that will be making them apart of there lives.

We strive to breed truly versatile German Shorthaired Pointers with health, temperament and conformation being our main priorities.
